What is mulled wine?
Mulled wine is a spicy drink made from wine, multiple spices and sometimes zests or slices of fruit. They are usually a mixture of aromatic aromas like cinnamon sticks, allspice, cloves and sliced fruits or bark.
Cardamom pods, peppercorns, star anise and dried ginger are also popular in hot drinks. The zest and raisins of orange or lemon are also sometimes used. It just depends on the recipe.
To do this, you heat the wine (usually red) in a saucepan, add your spices to ruminate and other ingredients, then drain them.
