No matter what version of macOS firmware is running on your Apple computer, the following keyboard shortcuts will save you time and energy during FaceTime calls. You will also want to make sure that your Mac and FaceTime app are up to date.

Here’s a cheat sheet of all the default keyboard shortcuts for FaceTime:



Switch to full screen during the video call: Cmd + Ctrl + F
Toggle landscape / portrait: Cmd + R
Hide FaceTime: Cmd + H
Hide everything except FaceTime: Cmd + Option + H
Disable Facetime: Cmd + K
Quit FaceTime: Cmd + Q
Minimize the FaceTime window: Cmd + M
Close the FaceTime window: Cmd + W

Unfortunately, these keyboard shortcuts are not customizable and you cannot disable keyboard shortcuts for FaceTime.
