Garmin is back with a pair of new smartwatches, dubbed Come Sq. It comes in two variations, the standard for $ 199 and a “music edition” for $ 50 more. For your money, you get GPS tracking, a 1.3-inch (240 x 240) color LCD touchscreen, and blood oxygen tracking.

Starting at $ 200, Garmin is dropping the price of last year’s $ 400 model. Calling the square smartwatch reminiscent of an Apple Watch would be generous, but the features are closer to a Fitbit Versa 3. It lacks an ECG, so if you want more advanced features, FItbit Sense is always a better option (and more). Dear).

But for $ 200, you get health tracking, blood oxygen tracking, GPS, and sleep monitoring. Everything you would expect from a fitness-focused smartwatch, but at an affordable price.

It’s not too surprising; despite its recent data breachGarmin is still one of the leading fitness companies, offering everything from watches to bike computers. In many of Garmin’s priority categories, we would be hard pressed to come up with a competing solution that offers all of Garmin’s functionality.

If you’ve already invested heavily in Garmin technology, the Venu Sq is worth a look as it will keep all of your data in one place. The Music edition gives you access to Spotify playlists in offline mode, but otherwise both watches offer all the usual fitness watch features you’d expect at a price that won’t totally break the bank.
