Google Accidentally Posted Unreleased Pixel 4A Renders

One of Google’s least well-kept secrets is the Android Pixel 4a smartphone. Like the 3a before, you can expect the Pixel 4a to be similar to the Pixel 4, with a few cut corners and a cheaper price. But Google gave us our best look at the unpublished phone today by posting renderings on its Candian store.

If you visited the Canadian Google Store earlier today, the usual product carousel adorning the top came with a surprise. In the Nest Wifi spot, you could see a rendering of the next Pixel 4a. Google has already fixed the problem and you will now see Nest Wifi hardware instead. But you can’t clear history on the Internet, and the image is here to stay.

The rendering gives us some details – for example, it seems to confirm the rumor that Google originally planned to release the device on May 12, the date indicated on the phone. You can also see a perforated camera on the front, as well as a speaker grille and a fingerprint sensor on the back.

According to various leaks, the phone should sell for between $ 300 and $ 400 and use a less powerful Snapdragon 730 system on a chip. Like the Pixel 3a before it, rumors suggest that it will not come with wireless charging, which is a shame because wireless charging should not be a premium feature.

But everything could change from here to an official announcement.
