Android devices are excellent, but their small size can sometimes be limiting. When you connect your device to a projector, you can share your screen with others for work or pleasure. Here are some ways to do it.
If you do not have a projector, you can also connect Android to a TV. Projectors are however the best option because they normally project a much larger screen size than a TV, making them ideal for multimedia playback or data presentations.

Wireless connection via Chromecast
The easiest way to connect an Android device to a projector is to use Google Chromecast. To do this, your projector must support HDMI connections.
Once you've plugged your Chromecast into the HDMI port, you can wirelessly stream your Android device's screen. Your Chromecast will then display the content via the projector.
Make sure you have turned off any power saving mode on your Android device, as this may reduce the quality of the stream.
If you do not already have the Google Home app, download and install it from the Google Play Store.
Open the "Home" application, and then tap the Accounts tab in the lower right corner.
Scroll down the screen and tap "Mirror Device".
If you see a warning that your device is not optimized for streaming, press "OK". This will not prevent you from casting your screen on a Chromecast.
Tap "Stream screen / audio" and select your Chromecast to connect to it.
Once you're signed in, your screen should start streaming to your projector via your Chromecast.
If a wireless option is not suitable, you can use a wired connection. All Android devices come with a microUSB or USB-C option.
With the right cable, you can connect your Android device to a projector that uses an HDMI cable directly. Another standard supported is MHL, which also connects via HDMI ports.
USB-C to HDMI cable
Newer Android devices, like the latest Samsung phones, use USB-C to charge. If you have a USB-C device, you can use a USB-C to HDMI cable connect your device directly to an HDMI compatible projector.
You should not have to do anything other than connect your USB-C device to your projector. Make sure the projector is set to the correct HDMI input.
Be aware, however, that one of the disadvantages of USB-C to HDMI is the lack of power. If you use other wired methods, such as MHL, you can power your device while connected.
Mobile High Definition Link (MHL)
The Mobile High Definition Link (MHL) uses specially designed HDMI cables. Unlike the new USB-C method, MHL cables use microUSB. As mentioned above, it can also power your device while providing video and digital audio.
Some projectors support HDMI, but you will need to specifically look for an HDMI port with a MHL label on your projector. If you do not see it, your device will not be powered. Your Android device must also support MHL.
To connect via MHL, you should not do anything with your Android device, except connect it to your projector with an appropriate cable. On your projector, switch the input to the corresponding HDMI MHL port to see your projected Android screen.
Miracast and Wi-Fi Direct are wireless standards that connect devices to other devices such as displays. Previously, Android officially supported Miracast, but had abandoned it with Android 6 Marshmallow. Miracast still works with some Android devices because it is based on Wi-Fi Direct, which is still supported by Android.

Unless the two devices specifically indicate that they support Wi-Fi Direct or Miracast, the best way to know when it will connect is to use one. of these standards to try it.
To start, on your projector, search for "Screen Mirroring", "Device Mirroring" or a parameter of the same name, then switch to this mode.
The best way to connect to Miracast's help is to use a third-party application, such as CastTo, to make the connection. As it is no longer officially supported, the use of Miracast with modern Android devices is not guaranteed.
If this is the case, use a Chromecast, a wired connection, or try using Wi-Fi Direct.
If you want to use Wi-Fi Direct, you can do it directly in Android. These steps may vary slightly depending on your version of Android and your device.
You need a projector that supports Wi-Fi Direct and allows you to stream your screen using this method.
To begin, slide your screen down to access your notification shadow, then tap the gear icon to access the "Settings" menu on your Android. Alternatively, you can access your "Settings" menu from the application tray.
If you're using a Samsung device, tap "Connections". On other Android devices, you may need to tap "Network and Internet".
Tap "Wi-Fi" to access the Wi-Fi menu.
In the Wi-Fi menu, make sure the setting is enabled, and then tap "Wi-Fi Direct". On other Android devices, you may need to press "Advanced" or "Wi-Fi Preferences" in this menu, then press and then press "Wi-Fi Direct" to access this menu.
Your device will automatically search for available Wi-Fi Direct devices. If it locates your projector, tap the connection option, and then follow the instructions.
Smart View on Samsung devices
If you have a Samsung device, you can use Smart View to connect to some wireless devices. Drag your notifications down and touch "Smart View" in your quick action list.
Your device will search for nearby Chromecast or Miracast devices. Locate your device, then tap to connect. Your Samsung device needs to connect to your projector and start broadcasting it.
Apps from the manufacturer
Some projector manufacturers offer their own Android apps that allow you to connect directly to the projector from your device via Wi-Fi.
Applications like Panasonic Wireless Projector, Epson iProjection, and Quick connection of the projector are all examples of applications that you could try, depending on the manufacturer of your projector.
These applications may not allow you to project your entire screen, but they should allow you to project static images or document files onto your projector. While this is not a useful method for streaming media content, it may be useful for professional presentations.
