As its name suggests, the new Frequently Visited section of the Safari start page lists the websites you visit frequently. If you already have these websites in the Favorites section, this new functionality is redundant. You may also not want Safari to display these websites for privacy reasons.

You can hide a website in this section or completely disable the Frequently visited section.

Disable the frequent visits section on iPhone and iPad

On your iPhone or iPad, open the Safari app and go to the start page. Find the Frequently Visited section, and then press and hold the icon for a website.

How to turn off Siri suggestions

Siri Suggestions has now made its way to the Safari app. Like the Siri suggestions in iOS, iPadOS and macOS, they are not really useful in Safari. Siri Suggestions will show you the websites in your playlist, the open tabs of other devices, and the sites it thinks you might want to visit.

Disabling the Siri Suggestions section is simple on Mac, but the option in iOS and iPadOS is hidden deep in the Settings app.
