How does the weak data mode
The weak data mode in iOS 13 and above interrupts any communication in the background. It stops updating back-end applications for applications and asks them to defer all non-urgent sync tasks until you are connected to a network on which the Basics mode is running. data is not enabled.
It also pauses all synchronization tasks in the background. Thus, when the Databases mode is activated, the Photos application does not save your photos.
You will not see much difference on a daily basis with your iPhone, but all background processes that you do not usually control will be suspended. If necessary, you can manually resume a synchronization task.

Enable Low Data Mode for Cellular Data
To enable Low Data mode on your cellular data connection, open the iPhone Settings app and select the "Cellular" option.
From there, tap "Cellular Data Options".
Press the button next to "Low Data Mode" to activate the function.
Enable low data mode for Wi-Fi networks
Low Data mode also works for Wi-Fi networks, but not in the nature of all or nothing. You can enable and enable the feature for specific Wi-Fi networks that may include low data caps.
Open the Settings application and press "Wi-Fi".
Here, find the Wi-Fi network on which you want to activate the feature and press the "i" button next to it.
From this screen, tap the button next to "Low Data Mode" to enable it.
