Nobody likes to ask for a refund, but nobody also likes to pay for a mediocre application or service. That's why asking for a refund is sometimes unavoidable.
When you request a refund from the Google Play Store, things can be a little tricky. Google do not always give refund For Google Play purchases, but according to our experience, if you request the refund of a purchase in an application or in the application within 48 hours of purchase, you should not have too much of problems.
If you are particularly fast and if you uninstall an app soon after buying it, you may find that you automatically get a refund. If this does not happen, follow the process below. Assuming you're in the 48-hour window, here's how to apply for a refund on the Google Play Store.
To get started, open a web browser and visit your Google Play Account Page. It's the same thing if you use a phone or a computer.
Scroll down the list until you see the history of your orders and find the application you want to pay back. To the right of the item you will see three vertical dots. Click on these points and then on "Request a refund".
You will now see a new window appear. In the drop-down menu you will see some potential reasons for requesting a refund. Select the one that best fits your situation.
- I bought this by accident
- I do not want this purchase anymore
- Purchase made by a friend or family member without consent
- I do not recognize this purchase
- I bought this but I did not receive it
- The purchase is defective or does not work as advertised
Depending on the option chosen, Google displays additional tips in text form. None of these elements prevent you from progressing in the application, so enter a brief description of why you want a refund and click on the "Submit" button.
Once a refund request has been submitted, you should receive an e-mail with Google's response. This usually happens within 15 minutes, although it may take longer.
