One thing that sets Bing apart from other search engines is its beautiful background images that change daily. If you’re a fan of the photos, Microsoft has an Android application which automatically downloads and sets the high resolution image to your handset’s screen every day.

To set Bing’s daily photos as the background for your Android device, download the official Bing Wallpapers app from the Google Play Store.

Once installed and open, the Bing Wallpapers app home page shows you the daily search engine image (and photo information when selected), an additional background gallery, and solid color wallpapers. You can scroll through these options or use the search bar to find something specific.

Then select the “Auto Change Wallpaper” option.

Finally, press the toggle next to the “Activate” list to activate the function.

You will be immediately redirected to a preview of the wallpaper for the current day. You can tap the “Preview” box to see the entire background without overlay or select the “Set wallpaper” button to add the image to your Android phone.

A pop-up window will appear asking if you want to set the Bing wallpaper only on your home screen or if you want the background to be automatically added to the home screen and lock screen from your device.

Choose to set the wallpaper on the home screen or also on the lock screen.

Once the wallpaper has been set, you will be returned to the Change wallpaper menu automatically. Here you can adjust advanced functionality settings, including how often the background changes and if you want new images to be downloaded only when your Android smartphone is on Wi-Fi or is authorized to take pictures when using cellular data.

You can now customize the frequency and network preference settings for the automatic wallpaper.

If you’re a fan of Bing’s backgrounds and the automatic wallpaper feature on your Android handset, Microsoft also has a tool that brings the daily photos on your Windows 10 computer.
