How to save a screenshot of a whole page in PDF format

In iOS 13, iPadOS 13 and later, you can take a screenshot of a page from a website in Safari and save it as a PDF in the Files application.

There are two notable points about this new method:

The PDF generates a single, continuous page without a page break.
Instead of an ordinary PDF, with an A4 page width, the PDF is the same width as the iPhone or iPad on which you view it.

If you want to generate a cleaner PDF of the page (without ads or formatting), go to Reader mode first. To do this, tap and hold "AA" in the upper left corner, then tap again to customize the text layout.

Open the website on your iPhone or iPad and take a screen shot. If you have an iPhone X-style device with a notch or an iPad Pro with Face ID, hold the "Side" and "Volume Up" buttons simultaneously until the capture's animation is complete. Screen appears.

If you are using an iPhone or iPad with a Home button, press it, and the "On / Standby" button to take a screenshot.

You see a small preview of the screenshot in the lower left corner: touch it.

You can save the PDF file in the Files application or export it to the application of your choice. To save it to the Files application, press "Done".

In the pop-up window, tap "Save PDF file to files".

Then select the location where you want to save the PDF; you can choose the local drive, external storage, or a cloud storage account. After selecting the location, press "Save".

If you want to send the PDF to an application (attachment, for example, in Mail or Books applications), press the Share button (the area with an arrow pointing upwards). Select the application to which you want to send the PDF.
