There may come a time when you prefer to share a Word document as an image that anyone can open. Unfortunately, you cannot export a document as JPEG, but there are a few other simple solutions. Here are just a few.

Convert single page to JPEG

If you have a Word document that contains only one page or if you want to capture a single specific page of a longer document, you can use screen capture software such as Snip & Sketch for Windows or Mac Screen Capture application.

The first thing to do is to zoom out of your Word document so that the entire page is visible on the screen. You can do this by adjusting the zoom slider on the status bar to the minus symbol. There is no exact recommendation on the percentage. Just make sure the entire document is visible.

With the page fully visible, type “Snip & Sketch” in the Windows search bar. Open the Snip & Sketch tool, then select “New” or press Cmd + Shift + 4 on the Mac to open the Screen Capture application.
