How to Set the “Do Not Disturb” Auto-Reply Message on iPhone

If you have “Do not disturb“Activated on your iPhone and someone sends you a text message, they may receive an” Auto-reply “message as a response. Here’s how to configure this message and decide who can see it.

First, open “Settings” by tapping on the gray colored gear icon. It is usually found on the first page of your home screen.

In “Settings”, tap “Do not disturb”.

In the ‘Do Not Disturb’ settings, scroll down until you see the Auto Answer options. Tap “Auto Answer”.

On the next screen, tap the text entry box and enter the message you want. Depending on your settings (which we explain below), this message will automatically be texted to people who message you when “Do Not Disturb” is enabled.

When you have finished entering the message, press “Return.”

If you want to change who will receive the auto-reply message, tap “Auto-reply to” in the “Do not disturb” options.

You will see a list of options, including “Nobody” (this turns off auto-reply), “Recents” (people who recently sent a text message), “Favorites” (people on your Favorite contact list) or “All contacts” (all members of your contact list). Tap the option you want to select it.

When you’re done, press “Back” and then exit settings. Enjoy your peace and quiet!
