Look, some things don’t have to make sense to be great. Take the KFC Double Down, a “sandwich” that literally puts the fried chicken where the bread needs to go. And speaking of KFC, he’s teamed up with Lifetime to create this year’s best romance movie. A recipe for seduction, with Mario Lopez as Colonel Sanders.
Mark your calendars because for life and @KFC have teamed up for an unmissable lifetime original mini-film! “A recipe for seduction” with @MarioLopezviva premieres Sunday at 12 noon. pic.twitter.com/nZJ2PXUR6G

You might think it’s a joke, we made it, but it seems like a real thing. For a few years now, KFC has become more cheeky and daring with its marketing stunts. Remember when the Fried Chicken Company released a romance novel called Tender wings of desire For Mother’s Day? We do.

Now the company is back with the most obvious sequel, a romance “mini-movie”. We don’t know much about it, but calling it a “mini-movie” can be generous, as it’s only about 15 minutes long. We assume that “Extended Commercial Stunt Marketing” did not have the same ringtone.
But we don’t care either; Mario Lopez is a passionate Colonel Sanders, ready to reveal the secrets of his herb and spices (did I just type that sentence?).
Lifetime says the “mini-movie” will air December 13 at noon (no time zone mentioned) on the Lifetime Channel. According to variety, KFC will also run a promotion through Uber Eats. Anyone who orders delivery can get six extra crispy deals for free with a purchase totaling over $ 20.
We cannot wait.
