Polar's $500 Vantage V2 Fitness Watch Will Tell You When to Skip Leg Day

While exercise is something almost everyone should do, we need to work in moderation. If you exercise for too long and too hard without sufficient recovery, you risk injury. It’s there that Polar Vantage V2 Fitness Watch at $ 499.95 Between; this will help you track recovery time.

The Vantage V2 kicks things off with a new “leg recovery test”. You don’t need any additional sensors. The watch uses information to determine if you are ready for a full workout or if you need to take a break.

This is similar to the information that previous Polar watches could provide, but it was less specific and designed for full body recovery. Polar says you can also set heart rate, speed, and power zones with new running and cycling performance tests to determine if you’re hitting your goals.

Like most fitness watches, you’ll benefit from a heart rate sensor and GPS to track your progress. And while it’s a fitness watch, the Vantage V2 does include a few smartwatch features, such as weather information, music control, and notifications.

With Polar’s Flow ecosystem, you’ll have access to tools to plan your training for an entire season, including tracking your activity and sleep cycles. Along with the watch, Polar introduces a new test center so you can see all your data in one place, along with metrics and results information.

You can pre-order the Polar Vantage V2 on the company’s website today, for $ 499.95 in black, green and lime gray. Polar will also pair it with an H10 heart rate sensor for $ 549.95. The watch will ship on October 14.
