Samsung Galaxy S20: How to Adjust the Vibration Intensity and Pattern

The vibration motor used for notification in the Samsung galaxy s20, S20 +, and S20 Ultra is fully adjusted on the box. Fortunately, you can adjust its intensity a little so that your phone does not slip from a table every time you receive a phone call.

How to adjust the intensity of vibrations

When you’re ready to adjust the vibration intensity of your device, swipe down from the top of the screen to expose notification panel. From there, tap the Gear icon in the upper right corner next to the Power button.

You can also swipe your finger from the Galaxy S20 home screen to open the app drawer. Use the search bar at the top of the screen or switch between panels to launch the “Settings” application.

Then press the “Sounds and vibrations” option at the top of the list.

Locate and select the “Vibration Intensity” menu midway through the list.

You can now adjust the intensity of vibration for incoming calls, notifications, and touch interactions. Your Galaxy S20 vibrates every time you customize one of the sliders to demonstrate the strength of the option.

When you are finished, tap or swipe on the Home button / gesture area to exit the Settings menu. Changes to the vibration intensity will be saved automatically.

How to change the vibration pattern

Now that you’ve changed the vibration strength of your handset, you may want to change the vibration pattern of the Galaxy S20. Again, everything can be adjusted from the Settings menu.

The easiest way to access the menu is to slide your finger from the top of the phone screen to the bottom of the screen to open the notification window. From there, tap the gear icon next to the Power button.

You can also swipe your finger from the Galaxy S20 home screen to display the app drawer. From there, use the search box at the top of the screen or scroll through the panels to open the “Settings” application.

Select “Sounds and Vibrations” from the list of menu options.

Scroll halfway down the list, then tap the “Vibration pattern” option. You will notice that the current pattern choice will be highlighted under the button text.

You can now tap one of the available options to automatically change the device’s vibration pattern. As you select each item, the Galaxy S20 will ring in the pattern given so that you know what to expect the next time you receive a notification.

As mentioned above, the setting changes automatically when you select each option. Press the Home button / swipe up from the bottom edge of your Samsung Galaxy S20 and enjoy the new vibration model.
