Samsung was one of the first Android manufacturers to add dark mode to its handsets. If you have recently purchased a Galaxy S20, S20 +, or S20 Ultra, activating the user interface functionality and setting it up on a schedule is extremely easy. Here’s how.
Activate dark mode in the settings menu
Activating and configuring the dark mode with a program is done from the View menu. To do this, swipe down from the top of the Galaxy S20 screen to open the Notification panel. Then tap the Gear icon next to the Power button to open the Settings menu.
Tap the “View” option at the top of the list.
Activate the dark mode by pressing the “dark” button (1). If you don’t want to set up an automatic schedule, tap the Home button or swipe up from the bottom of the screen if you’ve enabled gesture navigation.
Select the “Dark mode settings” option (2) to configure a program.
Press the toggle next to “Activate as expected” to activate the scheduling function. The handset will be set to “Sunset To Sunrise” by default. Manually set the dark mode schedule by selecting “Custom Schedule” and setting a start and end time.
Activate dark mode in the quick panel
The advantage of going through the Settings menu of the Samsung Galaxy S20 to activate the dark mode is to have the possibility of planning the functionality. If you don’t want to go through the menu every time you want to change the look of the phone interface, you can quickly activate the feature from the quick panel.
To access the quick panel, swipe down twice from the top of the handset display. The first scan will open the notification shade. The second will display a grid of icons.
Then find the icon that looks like a crescent-shaped moon called “Dark Mode”. You may need to scroll through the sections to find the button. Tap the icon to instantly turn dark mode on or off.
