The Classic 'Star Wars' Podracing Game Comes to Switch and PS4 on May 12th

the Star Wars the prequels gave birth to a treasure trove of goods, characters and controversy. But we can all agree that the Star Wars the games of the 90s and 2000s are classics. And on May 12, we will have the chance to revel in our Star Wars Episode I: Racer nostalgia on PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

That’s right, Lucasfilm republishes Star Wars Episode I: Racer with modern and more comfortable controls. The game, which was originally released for the N64 and the PC in 1999, features 25 playable characters, evolving podracers and a single player campaign mode. It also supports split screen multiplayer and LAN multiplayer for Switch players.

Lucasfilm will sell Star Wars Episode I: Racer for $ 15 on the Switch and PS4 game stores from May 12, 2020. Unfortunately, it does not seem to arrive on Xbox, at least not yet. In the meantime, you can download the fantastic path to choose yourself Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy game on your Switch or PS4 for only $ 20. If you have a Xbox One, you can recover Jedi Academy (thanks to backward compatibility) for $ 10.
