Ubuntu 19.04 is Named “Disco Dingo,” Arriving April 2019

Are you ready to dance or at least scream? Well, because Ubuntu 19.04 is called Disco Dingo. It's just the latest in a series of versions of Canonical's animal-themed Linux distribution.

As OMG! Ubuntu spotted, Ubuntu 19.04 has now been officially doubled "Disco Goofy". This version of Ubuntu will be released in April 2019. Here is the next version after Ubuntu 18.10 "Cosmic cuttlefish," which was published earlier this month.

We do not know much about the features that Ubuntu 19.04 will have, but it's already a winning version of our books. Although this name is particularly great, it corresponds to the noun politics that associates an adjective and an animal name, both of which start with the same letter.

Here's a complete history of Ubuntu animal-themed version names:

Wart-warthog (4.10)
Gray Hedgehog (5.04)
Broken badger (5.10)
Dapper Drake (6.06 LTS)
