If you have a VR headset, then Defeat Saber is a must have game that you should buy. It’s your classic rhythm style music game, except this time you’re slicing boxes with lightsabers (legally distinct from lightsabers). It’s so much fun. And from October 13, you can play with a friend.

Thanks to a brief video teaser, we don’t know too much about Beat the saber multiplayer mode, but there are a few known details. You can play with up to four other people (for a total of five) and you can create simplistic avatars.

Naturally, all gamers will need a VR headset, but you can play with friends you know or strangers around the world. According to Defeat Saber Twitter account, the multiplayer update affects all of its existing platforms, although PS4 could arrive a little late.

We don’t know if you’ll be chatting or hearing your opponents, or if crossplay is an option. You may be stuck playing with people on whatever platform you want.

The Multiplayer Update releases October 13, so keep an eye out for updates.
